北京今日美術館——中國第一家民營非企業公益性美術館，成立於2002年。于2006年7月，成功轉型為真正意義上的非盈利機構。今日美術館積極探索中國民營美術館的可持續發展之路，嘗試建立融資結構合理、系統完備的美術館體系。在務實的運作態度下，逐步形成一種持續穩定的融資機制和學術體制。

作為一家按照國際美術館規範建設和運營的民營美術館，北京今日美術館一直致力於積極參與並推動中國當代藝術的前進和發展，以其現代性視野、國際化平臺、規範化運營，力求探索一條適合中國民營美術館的生存發展之路。

 

As the first non-for-profit, non-governmental runart museum in China, Beijing Today Art Museum was found in 2002, In July 2006,Today Art Museum translated to real non-profit organization successfully. BeijingToday Art Museum persists in high standard learning character and morals.Building high level international learning rank and topping researching team isthe base of all the other works. Beijing Today Art Museum thinks much of theexhibit plans, and insists the classical essentiality, technicality and thecontemporary meaning of all our exhibits. In our exhibits, we give attention totwo things: artistic characters and social functions. We emphasize theintervention and promotion to contemporary art, and our ambition isconstructing the highest platform of contemporary art.

Beijing Today Art Museum quests for thedeveloping mode for non- public operating museum actively. The museum aims topromote Chinese contemporary art based on an internationalized vision and acontemporary ideology. As the first non-for-profit, non-governmental run artmuseum in China, it dedicates to explore an appropriate development strategyfor museums of its kind within a Chinese context.

2000年考入中央美術學院，先後在日本多摩美術大學和韓國弘益大學交流學習。2004年經選拔入選“北京第29界奧林匹克組織委員會”，先後任奧運火炬、奧運核心圖形、二級圖示的專案主管，2007年任奧運文化活動部景觀副經理。

2008年9月，高鵬繼續攻讀中央美術學院博士學位，2010年赴英國倫敦藝術大學任博士訪問學者,2011-2013年中央美術學院設計學院客座教師.2014年任北京大學博士後,開創民營美術館的可持續運營研究,並任教於北京大學藝術學院.曾入選“2012英國大使館文化教育處藝術管理人才計畫”、“2013德國歌德學院藝術管理人才計畫”和“2013美國大使館特邀赴美考察文化使者”。

2011年4月，高鵬任今日美術館副館長，先後負責行政、展覽及學術館藏等部門，擔任百餘場國內外當代藝術展覽的策劃與執行，2013年8月擔任執行館長,2014年4月正式任命為今日美術館館長。
